Braves Game--PTA Night--September 11th Remembrance

Since it was Georgia PTA night, we got to walk around the field in a pre-game parade. We were standing on the Hank Aaron Ramp waiting. That is the players' parking lot.
Warming up as we were walking by. McCann is showing his rear end, McDowell has the clip board, and Perez is holding his hand to his face.
View from our Upper Box seats.

Avenged Sevenfold

I really started loving the band Avenged Sevenfold back in 2007 when their self-titled album came out. I think I had hear one or two of their previous songs before, but this album definitely sealed the deal for me as a fan. I saw their video for Afterlife and I was hooked!
I had always wanted to see them in concert, but extinuating circumstances were always in the way. Most regrettably, I never got to see them perform when their awesome drummer, Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan was still alive. Sadly, he passed away about nine months before this concert ever happened. I am so thankful that the rest of the boys have chosen to carry on, even in the wake of losing their brother. The music world would definitely not be the same without the sounds of this amazing metal band. They even got one of Jimmy's favorite drummers, Mike Portnoy, from Dream Theater. Mike helped them record their latest album, Nightmare, and has been a great addition to the band. However, his stay is just temporary. :(
I was so excited when the opportunity to see them live finally presented itself. They were performing on the RockStar Uproar Tour along with Disturbed and some other bands. My best friend, Kim, her sister, Aubrey, and my brother, Zach went. I am so glad I did, and I cannot wait until the next opportunity arises.
Pictures to come!

Macon, Georgia

We got to visit the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. It was very interesting reading about some of Georgia's greatest musical performers.

This is a beautiful church that we got a chance to visit.

Birthplace of Sidney Lanier, a great author.
My good friends, Kerri and Frances, and I like to take day trips. Frances is from Jamaica and previously lived in Florida. She has only lived in Georgia for a few years. Kerri and I like to take her to various locations, usually in the metro Atlanta area (not far from where we live). On a previous trip, we visited Dahlonega, Georgia. I had been there once or twice before, but always passing through to visit another location. Kerri went to college in Dahlonega and was able to show us around the place she called home for four years. This time, we decided on Macon, Georgia. We really had a fun day exploring another location close to home.
